i get up on stage, speak these words as many times
          as it takes
                til i'm as fearless
                         as the voice behind these rhymes

These words have flowed over the years in all sorts of places: music festivals, pubs, protests, conferences, sacred ceremonies, house concerts, poetry nights... Performances may include live musicians, or just spoken word.
