I've poured my energy into various campaigns for ecological and social justice over the years. I like finding ways to weave poetry into those missions – and this video below captures one of my favourite moments doing that.

The backstory: I was invited to speak about my passions at Te Papa, the national museum of New Zealand, alongside the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment. At the time, she was actively upholding the dropping of one of the world's most toxic poisons in the forests and rivers around my community and others throughout Aotearoa. So I wrote her a poem to let her know how I felt about that. (Yeah I'm probably not going to get invited back to Te Papa for a while...)
